Petco Celebrates Grand Opening of Distribution Center North of Reno

RENO, NV – Petco held a grand opening for its tenth distribution center, Wednesday morning north of Reno.
The new center is located on Red Rock Road, in Stead.
The facility will boast more than 770,000 square feet of space and support retail stores in Petco’s Western region, as well as the company’s e-commerce customers shopping at Petco.com.
Petco says it decided to build here because of Reno’s centralized location.
Governor Brian Sandoval was on hand for the ceremony. Also in attendance were Nevada Lieutenant Governor Brian Krolicki, Reno Mayor Bob Cashell and other city officials.
The grand opening ceremony also featured a $100,000 donation presentation from the Petco Foundation to the Nevada Humane Society.
